Rob, and the others expressing interest,
Please excuse and bear with me, as my wiring documentation is 89 chassis
based, for the CQ and 90Q-20V. The circuits are the same but relay nos and
wire colors differ, and the 200 schmetics are a bitch to follow, 89 is easy.
Numbers ref: 200 Bentley, (pg #, current track #).
1. Alarm Horn Blow and Turn Signal Lites Flash w/ RKE input:
(586,448) Insert a +pulse from the RKE pkg lite output, at term 6/86,
anti-theft light warning relay, #17, aux relay panel.
2. RKE Lock/Unlock input to 200 anti-theft system:
(584,436) Insert -Unlock pulse from RKE at T10b/9 (goes to T12a/3, alarm ctl
unit)
(584,442) Insert -Lock pulse from RKE at T10b/10 (goes to T12a/8, alarm ctl
unit)
T10b is the black top connector to the aux relay panel.
3. RKE Lock/Unlock input to 200 CLS, (Centeral Locking System):
(577,366 & 368) The prewired RKE Lock/Unlock relay output circuit (see RKE
instructions for use with Audi & MB vac locking systems, or my sketch) is
inserted in the wire running from term 2, CLS left door switch to 4/FT, CLS
motor. This wire is easiest tapped, (cut and the new circuit spliced in) at
(557,191) 8/31z Interior Light Delay Control unit, #3. aux relay panel. This
tap should be made in the 1.0 G/BL wire before it reaches 8/31z, not after.
(This is the error made by many in running the tap back to the CLS motor.)
If you are not having enough fun, you can also wire the second channel of
the RKE to remotely open the driver's window when the car is unlocked, as I
have done. Hang in there, the results are well worth it.

I have done both of my Audis and have helped several others both on this
list and on the 20V list. There are write ups on both Chris Miller's web
page and on the 20V list page <www.20v.org/20v/remote.htm> I don't agree
with some of their methods but if they work? Never, never let a installer
do the job! They will screw up your wiring good, PO did that. I have both
cars using the same remote so we need carry only one remote for either car.
The idea is to intergrate the RKE into the Audi alarm and door lock systems.
This wiring is not as obvious and straight forward as it might seem. I can
send or fax to you the pertant wiring sketches. For easy wiring and a
cleaner job, spend a few more bucks and buy a RKE that has Lock and Unlock
relays built into the unit, well worth it. Must also be settable to longer
output pulse lengths to work the Audi vacuum locking system.
Hope this helps, let me know what else you need.
Have not put a key in a doorlock for 2 years now.
