I can only say that while I worked at the dealership (in another life some
ten years ago), we had a few customers that ran AVS tires on their 200q's
(the 200q20v had just come out).  Needless to say, the compound was not much
different from what it is today and they only used them for the other three
seasons (not winter).  Overall, customers were quite happy with themand for
winter use Pirelli P210 winter tires were quite popular.  This is in
Michigan.  I have yet to recommend a true all-season tire except for the
mildest of winters.
