[200q20v] chip question

I must say that I don't think your questions have yet been clearly answered. The two upgrades being discussed here are IA Stage III and Stage III+. I had the upgrade installed at Ned's place in Olympia WA, by Ned about a year and a half ago. He had me try both chips and the differences between each (stock, III &
III+) were all profound, no question. It's amazing that either of these two upgrades can be done without even opening the hood, it's a chip change and a transducer change, both done inside the ECU. After driving both and considering cost (the + is more of course), performance differences and comments by Ned, I
decided to go for the Stage III. Ned more or less indicated to me that choosing the Stage III+ meant probable turbo replacement within a year or two, depending, of course, how heavy your foot is. I was so impressed with the Stage III and so NOT interested in replacing a turbo - ever (hopefully) - that's what became
the deciding factor for me. I am still very happy with my decision.
The IA web site has lots of info: http://www.intendedacceleration.com/
Hum, interestingly I see from looking at the site right now that there is no listing for the Stage III+ mod. Have to ask Ned about that, I guess.
Hope this helps clarify your understanding.

The IA chip seems to suggest that the IA stage I chip is the only one that does not require either a turbo or manifold swap...is this a correct observation?
