Jerry,
The only way I've seen it done is to remove the fabric from the
cardboard piece and then glue the whole thing together with new
fabric and reinstall.

MB or Jaguar sounds like a good suggestion- do they sell headliner
material?

When my headliner goes, I'm still toying w/ the idea of Alcantara,
although it will be prohibitively expensive.

I plan on doing the headliner as it is showing its age. It is just starting
to sag over the rear cargo area. Problem is guy doing repair says Audi only
sells complete headliner with board for $$$$. If he could source just the
material it would be way cheaper. So, is there a US source for the headliner
material(platinum/gray)? Otherwise his suggestion is to go with a MB or Jag
or other high line headliner material that is close in color.

Jerry
