[200q20v] Oil Temps

Tommy,
The 90 temp you described sounds a bit cool to me.  I've heard that we need temps slightly exceeding 100 degrees C in order to boil off moisture that condenses in the engine crankcase after cool-down.  This scenario makes sense to me and the oil cooler thermostat is designed to adjust accordingly.  Problems occur with petroleum based oil when it gets too hot (140 degrees C) and begins to break down, this break-down temperature is even higher with current synthetics.
