Alex,
What were your reasons for the switch, beyond the fat wallet syndrome?
What was your average oil mileage before the switch, vs. after?
What "added slipperiness" are you kidding yourself about?
IMO, M1 will neither improve nor aggravate rotary shaft seal performance.
If you have shaft seal leaks, give it the engine stop leak treatment.
