While reviewing the NHTSA website this weekend, I came across information
regarding the long-awaited/anticipated recall re: the Bose rear
speaker/amplifier issue.  The recall was issued 10/15/01, and is NHTSA
Campaign ID No. 01V324000.  The notice states that VW has not yet provided
the remedy for the recall.  See
