[200q20v] Radiator parts info

Did it crack "on its own" or was there a reason why?
Has anyone else had this problem "spontaneously"?

I'm trying to gage whether to change mine as a
preventive measure.  A few weeks back I was planning
to  do so as part of a fender replacement, but
couldn't find an all metal one with the additional
nipples for the aux. rad. so I gave up for the time
being.  After 10 years on the road should we all be
thinking about this?

The best price I found then was $120 online (see
below), but in the East and they couldn't guarantee it
was all metal so we never got to estimating shipping
to the west coast let alone actual purchase.
