SQ manifolds, and RS2 intake manifold question

I was looking at the http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Audi5zylinderturbotechnik/files/
page and saw all the different types of Sport Quattro intake manifolds.  The
manifolds are different designs, but all share the same forward throttle body
orientation.

It occurred to me that the companies making SQ exhaust manifolds that recently
were posted about are probably making manifolds that "fit" SQ's, as opposed to
duplications of the original manifold design.  Does this seem correct?

I had originally not understood why more SQ EM producers needed to exist, but if the
manifolds are or different designs, then that would make sense.

My other question has been bugging me for a while.  The RS2 intake manifold, the
one that says "Powered by Porsche" on it.  Does it produce any gains over the stock
3B intake manifold?

I would imagine it does something, otherwise they wouldn't have changed it.  Unless
Porsche wanted to get their name on it, so they made a new casting.

Of course, it just saying "Powered by Porsche" is bound to be worth 100hp or so, no?

Is there anyone that has replaced with stock IM with the RS2 one, and did it produce
any gains?  I already heard that the throttle bodies are the same between RS2/3B.

If I make a homemade intake manifold, I think I will try to replicate the forward
location for the throttle body.  The intake charge has to go across the front end from
the turbo anyhow, due to the intercooler, so a short pipe to the front of the intake
manifold seems better than routing it all the way to the back of the head.  I do like the
Porsche reference on the RS2 one tho'.
