2322 = Air Temp Sensor
I dumped the codes on my TQW and got a 2322
as the only fault. The car is "chipped" and
the problem I'm seeking to resolve is that
my boost frequently backs off from 1.8 or 1.7
to 1.3 or 1.4. The boost just won't hold.
Aside from dumping the codes I've only checked
the resistance at the terminal leads to the sensor
and I'm getting a reading of about 425 Ohms as opposed
to the 450-550 that the Bentley calls for. The
terminals are clean and dry and look new. I will
do some further testing but I'm wondering if any
of you have had a similar experience and what
did you learn. According to sources the default
is a 40degrees C reading that will possibly retard
timing in order to prevent pre-detonation.
If any of this sounds like BS to you, please raise
the BS flag and tell me where I'm off. Much thanks
in advance.
