Yes, I was aware of the "only relative significance" aspect to wear
ratings. I only threw in the comment about "high rating" as context
for my being somewhat disappointed that these tires will probably
give me no more than 25 kmiles (plus 6 track days). I suppose 25k
miles wear on tires driven aggressively on the road and for 6 days at
WG really isn't too bad. The bottom line for me is that I've enjoyed
the performance the tires have given and would buy 'em again--even
though I wouldn't have minded getting a little better mileage.

Speaking of mileage: my best "mileage" from a single-malt scotch was
a bottle (of Macallan's) lasting 4 years--sadly forgotten in the back
of a closet. :(
