Note that while you're "digging" you don't want to scratch the crankshaft
or the oil pump housing the seal slides into.  I extracted the one in a 4kq
recently (same seal, I think) with great difficulty using holes drilled
into the metal part of the seal and sheet metal screws with large fender
washers on them for prying a little here, a little there, etc., until it
slid.  I tried #10 screws first and they ripped out of the holes, so I
tried #12's and they held until the seal's grip let loose.  On a 4k, you
can't take off the front of the car like you can on a 200q20v.
