There are 6 wires on that "connector". 2 go to the voice coil(spade
connectors), 2 go to the 4-connector plug for signal, 2 go to the
4-connector plug for power+ground.

There are only two things that need to happen to pull a soldered
board from the speaker assembly:

-remove connectors from terminals to the voice coil
-clip the plastic tie that holds the 4-connector plug to the speaker.

The "replacement" for such speakers would have to be a new harness
and a new amp board.

The real question is whether the soldered connector style amp truly
is immune- its quite very well possible, since the problem all goes
back to leaky(defective) capacitors.

Here's a dumb question- has anyone ever had to replace a speaker with
soldered connections?
