to UFO or not to UFO

You need to be very careful when dealing with repairs on UFO's. I took my
car to a local independent garage here to see if they could help with a
stuck caliper. They basically said "Yeah...you need new calipers, new
rotors, new pads....about $2700 in parts plus labor..." I got the car out
of there pretty quickly and had some local Audi gearheads put on a used
caliper for me for about $100. Most shops just have never seen the UFO's
and use the Audi dealer as a parts reference. Given the cost of
upgrades/conversions, I've decided to stick with the UFO's...they're
incredibly easy to service and with proper care they last a long time. And
they make quite a conversation topic at the local tire store.
