Exhausting question

Several years ago I was an amused witness to a very heated conversation
between two Ford owners. Both owned the same model car, one in nearly stock
condition, the other with nearly every modification possible. The
disagreement centered on why one felt he should make changes to a such a
historic vehicle. After about 10 minutes the owner of the modified car made
what I consider a top ten classic statement.

"Its my car, I paid for it, I bought it for my enjoyment, I modify it for my
pleasure, and I actually drive it on the street when and where I like. You
can let yours rot in a garage if you like but until you own this one your
opinion doesnt mean shit."

Curious how often I'm reminded of that conversation.

(if anyone cares, the two Ford's involved were a pair of GT-40 Mk II's with
sequential serial numbers)
