The subject was a '92 S4, I thought, not the average price of '92-
'94 models (mainly '94s).

I suppose a price approaching $15K might be rational if a '92 S4 were
really loaded with goodies, but the seller mentioned nothing of that
sort. His asking price is anywhere from $5K to $6K higher than the
'91 200q appears to be going for these days. That's an unreasonable
"premium", IMHO. And how can  $15K for a '92 sedan square with '95.5
S6 avants available for $20K (even below $20K)? But hey, if that's
what the market is paying then more power to him.
