Hot start issue

John,
How long ago did you replace it? Talked to my local wrench today and he
said does make sense as a potential source of the problem. Info from Blau
indicated the same.
Were you seeing the problem during the hotter months down there? I was
wondering though why a fuel-system pressure drop wouldn't effect the
starting after longer periods of time. The local shop thought it was due to
the increased temp under the engine bay which would then allow more of a
chance of gas vaporizing and locking up the lines. I wonder what's
consensus on this?

A really bad hot start problem with my 200q20v was solved by the
replacement of the fuel pump check valve. My mechanic said that you
could just blow right through it. Starts like a charm now.
Just my $0.02.
