Considering that I hate soldering, I guess to me that's more like
torture than fun.

Also, pulling the speakers is a major PITA- those rear deck speakers are
a pain
to get out and God help you if you work one of the nuts loose- then you
have to
pull the rear deck.

I think he spent more time documenting it than doing it.  Sound like $8
in caps and a little "fun time" with a soldering iron, pretty light
work, if you can get it.

Probably would have sounded better, but would also have been more work,
I think.
