Hi everyone,

OK, I am now very confused. I currently have 201,534 miles on
my 2c 20v tq Avant. At 199,998 miles I took it into the "local"
Audi dealer because...well it was winter..blah blah blah. I asked
the mechanic about the t-belt. He said, "the t-belt on these cars
should be replacd every 90k miles" and told me I was "OK" because
the belt was done 60k miles ago.

My questions are:

1. What is the regular scheduled replacement for the t-belt?

2. Is the 20v engine an interference engine (i.e. will my valves
and pistons crash together if my t-belt does break?)

3. And is the t-belt a job that can be done at home, or does it
require a certain skill level?

Thanks again as always for putting up with inane questions. ;-)
