Uhm, so have I got that straight: the drain hole should be in the
_bottom_, is that right?  ;-)

BTW, I was able to snug up the sensor (by about 1/8 turn) pretty
easily, and from the residue I can see that the leakage has been
coming from the threads (i.e. external)

It's ironic how Audi managed to make that little boot quite
leak-proof--yet not  even close to being water-tight on top.
