Power vs. Manual Seats?

Hello All,

Does anybody have any knowledge/experience with the interchangeability(?) of
power/manual seats?  I was told that they ARE interchangeable - with loss of
power function obviously..  Have access to some manual sport seats for cheap
- and I actually prefer a manual seat; fewer issues and less weight.  Thanks
for any/all input as usual.
