bucking above 1.1 bar, max boost 1.3

Methinks we are beginning to see some correlation here:

The Avant I bought two weeks ago had just been washed when I
went for the test drive where bucking hit hard at 1.3bar.  The
ECU also reported an overboost code (2224 I think, no notes here)
My sedan just plain died when driving in a massive downpour
(1"+ standing water on the crowned higway).

Not to say other causes don't exist, but this seems far too
coincidental to dismiss.  I trailered the Avant to Boulder from
Fort Collins in a high wind that may have helped dry out the
moisture that was(maybe) causing the problem.  Did some trivial
fiddling that night then drove to Georgetown and back the next
day with no apparent problems other than the BPV.
