Replacing side marker lights

It's very easy- pry up the side marker with something very gentle-
I used a plastic knife very carefully. The side marker pops right off
with a bit of effort. The replacement snaps right in as well.

I have some smoked side markers to replace the factory amber - does the
inner fender have to come out to replace these?
