I find packing tape works quite well on my phone :) especially with the large
expanse of scratchable plastic of the 8260...was nice on the 6169 as well.

Sorry I can't help with the headlight protection...the VW/Audi dealer in Idaho
Falls had pre-cut (6mil thick?) 3M pieces for my GTI lights when I got those
(they do have the cutouts for DOT aiming nipples which I don't happen to have
on the eurolights :)) and a sheet of (12mil? it's thicker I believe) that was
big enough to cover the lights on the 200 when I got those...If you do live in
an area with lots of rocks, you might try asking your friendly local Audi
dealer!

1991 200 quattro, 114k, euros with custom-cut 12mil protection, no chips in
lights but have taken a windshield-replacing whack from a rock off a truck
1988 GTI 16v, 224k, euros with DOT-spec 6mil protection, also no chips in
lights, also needs new windshield, brand new voltage regulator though
