Followup.

After calling around first thing this morning and finding no readily available
1/2 shafts anywhere, and not really wanting to pull the 1/2-shaft and replace
the outer CV while it is 30 degrees out and snowy, I decided to have the car
towed to the mechanic.  <hold head in shame>  He has the right tools, a lift,
and a dry warm work area.  He also found me an outter CV joint and if off
picking it up.

Hopefully, I'll have the car back by the end of the day.  We shall see!
