[200q20v] aftermarket/Audi shift knobs to replace worn-out stock unit

Mitch,
I've used the factory, UUC RKII and a couple Momos.

The UUC threads on just like OEM- great in that sense. I really
like the heft of the UUC, although I don't know if it will negatively
affect my shifter bushings over time and it is really cold in the
wintertime (you need to wear gloves if the temp gets well below
freezing). Strangely, I haven't had a lot of problems with the knob
in the summer, but having Llumar metallic tint helps a lot.

The Momo is very nice in that it is nice and small, but using something
like the short anatomic (my Momo knob of choice) requires removal
of the shift boot and taking out the plastic thing that aids in
actuating
the reverse lockout. Also, you need to Loctite the set screws, otherwise
they _will_ come out at least a couple times before they stop moving.

As an alternative, really any of the OEM knobs from Audi will thread on
your shifter, so if you like fuzzy Alcantara, get the RS4 knob. :-)

Hi Listers,

What are you using, and what would you recommend as a replacement?  I
could buy a factory replacement for $80 thru the dealer, but am
interested in finding out which other Audi knobs would fit.

Anyone using a UUC, Momo or Voodoo knob?  Any universal units that you'd
recommend?
