Where do I polish/chrome engine pieces??????

Any of you guys have experience polishing, maybe even chroming engine pieces?
I want to polish/chrome the valve cover, intake manifold, steerin pump
bracket, waste gate, metal intake tube etc. Where would one go to have this
stuff done and about how much is it? Is chroming going to last or will it peel
after a while? Any suggestion? Oppinions? Anything?
