Check the wiring going through the door hinge first.  I bet you will find a few broken wires.

Has anyone diagnosed and/or repaired front speakers on a stock 91 200q
Audi/Bose system?  Driver's side speaker is working intermittently and
passenger side is out completely.  I was going to start w/the door panels,
and see what's up.  BTDT/advice is much appreciated!
