I've done a bunch of work with instruments, but it was several years ago, so
I don't remember all the nuances.
I've got a v8 cluster, a 100 c4 cluster, a 91 200 cluster, a 93 s4 cluster,
and a s6 cluster accumulated for a future "frandendash II" project.
I can tell you that although many components are the same, they aren't "plug
n play"
If you have determined the gauge is good, but board has a problem, soldering
a jumper wire from the connector to the Gauge to bypass the board will be
your cheapest/easiest fix. The circuit boards on all of the above clusters
are different, even between the s4 and s6.
You're best bet is to go to the liquor store, buy a bottle of the best vodka
you can find, then go drop in on Igor.
Regards,
Bob

Eyvind-
THANK YOU!!! That's what I needed to know- if the boards and instruments
work, that's all I need.
Do I need a cluster that uses an analog odometer or can I also use one
w/ a digital odometer?
Bob and Igor- I'll be talking to you guys soon about instruments then.
:-)

Both the S4 and S6 instruments work in the 200q20v, but you have to
dismantle the cluster and transfer the instruments and the PCB board to
the 200q20v "frame" as the S4/S6 "frame" is a bit different in shape..
