Temp gauge reading

What should the guage inside read.
Lets say yesterday it was like 96deg outside, very humide, Ac running and stopped traffic here in NJ.
My Temp gauge was right between the first dot and the last line before the dot.
I got a new Rad. all new coolant and new aux pump for the cooling.
Is this normal, cause It doesnt go any higher if not, what could I do to drop the temp?
