If you've removed the internal circlip,  the threaded rod onto which the
piston screws should come out with a little "encouragement".  I ended up
using two large screwdrivers opposing eachother and alternating pressure
upward/a bit sideways to "walk" the base of the threaded rod out of its
housing.  It's a tight machined fit.  If there is brake fluid getting past
that fit into the parking brake linkage chamber, the O-ring sealing the
lower part of the chamber must have failed.
