ecu swap - boost problems

I had a hole that I could fit 3 fingers in the crankcase breather hose, but this had no effect whatsoever on the boost highs or smoothness.
I changed it hoping this may help something in the car, but nothing changed.
The car ran the same with our without the new hose.
