Dan's Boost Problem

Since the boost is intermittently there and then not, and the problem is
there even with an ECU swap and there are no pressure leaks, I vote for:

    a) bad electrical connection to the wastegate frequency valve

    OR

    b) bad wastegate diaphragm

You can test hypothesis b) by clamping off the pressure control hose to
the wastegate and see if the car goes into overboost, I believe.

I had a similar problem which turned out to be a WGFV with high (300
ohm) resistance...sometimes it worked OK, and sometimes the boost just
dropped out after building fine. A poor electrical connection might do
the same thing.

Just my $0.02.
