A/C Retro Fit?

Be careful of "kits".  They are usually high priced with unnecessary
parts/stuff.  I hate to admit it, but Blow is right, the dryer may or may
not need replacing.  An all inclusive, can't go wrong statement!  If your
car has lived through several seasons without any positive pressure in the
system, it may have ingested enough moisture to have depleated the moisture
absorbing capacity of the dryer, but likely not.  Try it without, what's one
can of R134 worth, vs. dryer replacement?   Upgrade?  Performance wise it's
a downgrade, but you won't know the difference, except in the wallet, and
that's an upgrade.  Go for it!
