Hit SJM's site at www.sjmautotechnik.com and go through the list.
Since you are not hitting full boost at all, there is something wrong.
At 1.2 you are not even getting the mechanically limited boost, so you
have a leak of some sort. I recommend doing a pressure check, see
recent postings on how to make a test cap with Home Depot parts.

O2 will affect idle quality and perhaps boost, but not without throwing
codes. If the harness is original (ie no splices) odds are it's
original as well. A generic Bosch sensor is $30 and takes 5 minutes to
install.
