No Fuel Pressure Accululator on 3B..Motronic??

Thanks to Gene Caldwell for sending me some helpful info.  

After an exhaustive search and coming up empty, I can draw but one
conclusion...An accumulator is not used on Motronic cars. (Pump to filter to
FPR to rail to injectors).

Well there doesn't seem to be one on my 200 20v anyway, while it is as plain
as the sunshine on the CIS cars I am able to reference (5000tq and my GTI).
On those cars it is right where the Bentley says it will be....rear axle
area on the right side.

ETKA and Bentley both refer to the accumulator as being on the 3B cars
but.....


Judging from the number of responses on this topic (1), this may be news to
all.
