tie rod seperated from end

You guys are being overly cautious in your advice, interspursed with much
BS, IMO.  He didn't say that the threaded tie rod end was broken off, just
that the threads were missing.  Rod still goes into the rod end.  Weld the
SOB and drive 20 miles slowly, stop if it falls apart. It won't, even with
little welding expertise.
