Yes, it is. About 60% above "min".

I'll try that today, but with the noise lasting for only 3-4 seconds,
I have to be real quick :-)

Smooth, but not very quick. 1.5 is only seen beyond 4000 rpm going
uphill, 1.4 can be seen at about 3000 rpm. Mileage is not very good to
be a 200q20v, about 1 liter/10 km (I'm in Europe). Code 4444, so the
ECU knows nothing wrong. I ran the output tests, and everything
worked, at least it seemed so.

Looks like mine. Some oil on the outside, that's why I'd like to check
it..

Will do that sometime this week. Once on my old 200TQ (10v), the hose
that connects to the turbo outlet came loose.

Can this really cause blue smoke? I'll dump in that stuff anyway,
probably needed after 160k miles..

Can check this too. I replaced it on my mother's '90 V8, relatively
inexpensive and very easy..
