It can be done, but you have to swap the entire system, not only the
control unit. The old system uses vacuum while the newer system uses
small electric motors. I know somebody in Germany did it a few years
ago with parts from a V8, but it was NOT easy! Everything fits right
on, but there are several wiring issues..
