Vincenzo,

Not all dashes will give any kind of warning.  Sometimes you'll just get the
"check engine" light -- some cars had thse go on so frequently that the
bulbs were removed!  What code did you get from the blink codes?  Or did you
get multiple codes?

Brake pad warning light can be most frustrating.  It indicates a break in
the circuit somewhere.  If your brake pads have sensor wires (which they
should), check to make sure the connection is good and the wires are
undamaged.  Unplug them and plug them back in again.
