Engine temp is at the first thick mark, where it should be.  A/C works
but I suspect is a bit low on R12.

But now that you mention it...
Oil temp gauge is inoperative.  Do the oil temp senders typically go
bad?  I presume that if I ground the wire that is on the sender, the
gauge should peg, right, indicating good wiring and gauge but bad
sender?
