Dan,

My bets are your low boost is hose-related, IE the
http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/20vboost.html#hose hose (breather
hose?), the Michelin Man, the TBPV, the lower intercooler hose (less
likely), and especially that small hose that runs from the TBPV to the
manifold.  You can't tell just by looking at the hoses.  When I took off
that 034-103-221AF to inspect it, it crumbled in my hands even though it
looked/felt great on the outside.  I replaced all of those hoses and was
back to full boost again, after getting my 200q20v.  The only one that
post-removal looked like it didn't need replacement was the lower
intercooler hose.
