Manifold Air Pressure.
He's right...I have no idea what the design limit on the sensor is,
but exceeding 2 Bar absolute(14psi above atmosphere) would not be
very smart at all unless the ECU was disconnected.
Personally, I don't test above 1.8bar indicated via the dash; no
fuss, no muss...and usually, if you've got a leak, it shows up way
before then :-)

PS:might want to cap the dipstick tube with a stopper or something,
or you'll launch the dipstick.
