VAG-COM on a 200q

200q.  if so, where are the connectors located?  they don't seem to be in
the fusebox.

I'm not using VAG-COM, but some other listers are with good results. The
connectors (which can also be used to simply read codes with an LED) are
located under the driver's knee [crusher] bar, near the relay panel that
hides behind it.
