I need some input on this

I believe it will bolt on, but I'm not sure.  I do know that the Coupe
Quattro 01A tranny will bolt on to the auto V8 3.6/4.2 block (my friend
has BTDT at Shokan).  The 016 compared to the 01A would require a
different shifter linkage, but you'll obviously be building that from
scratch anyway.  So I'd say yes.
