 And that interval works quite well... for diesel truck engines.  Keep in
 mind, a redline of 1800 - 2200 rpm, an engine that uses a fuel with high
 lubricity, lower operating temps, and constant highway use.

 And dont forget that Heavy-Duty diesels measure oil capacity in gallons.
Even my Power Stroke powered wrecker gets more oil in one change than the
most anal 200 owner uses in a year!
