I live in Chelmsford MA and have 1 Avant with Bilstein HDs, stock springs and stock rims.
Ride height may actually have increased with the HD installation.

I also have another avant with Bilstein Sports, Eibach springs, stock rims.
Drop in ride height is negligible compare to the HDs
Paul Royal (NH) also has this setup and is pleased

Dan Simoes (stock struts and springs) has driven the Avant with the HDs and may be able to give his opinion.
