Suspension options

For kicks and grins I'll add my bits worth.  I also run Bilstein HD's and
found the ride height to have gone up a tad (+-1/4").  I am running stock
wheels and tire size (Yoko AVS S4).

As to the ride and performance, it's more than adequate by my book.  The
bilsteins did firm up the ride a bit, and got rid of some of the lean.  By
no means did it eliminate it, just lessened it.

For what it's worth, I also ran the UrS4 wheels for a while, and while ride
quality did diminish, I didn't really notice a percpetible handling
advantage as compared to stock size, just more tramlining.  I know there are
many variables here, but in Autocrossing, I wound up placing better relative
to the group running that day when I ran stock wheels and tire size vs. the
Plus 1 setup.

Myself, I'm a leave it stock kind of guy.  Hell, I would have gone with the
factory replacement strut/shocks if not for the national debt sized price
tag.

Peter,  Pressurized shocks add their positive spring rate to that of the
suspension.  Unpressurized shocks, such as Konis, have a zero spring rate,
therefore add nothing to the suspension's static ride height.  This appears
to be consistant with your stated experience.
