Peter,
Take the LEFT brake pad indicator set of wires, the brown/black wire
specifically and ground it. If the fault goes away, you have a
wiring problem in your loop that you have shorted out for the brake pads.
the signal gets looped through both sets of pads in series.
When more than one error is displayed, the messages run round-robin,
hence if there two messages, they will alternate,
