heater hose suction line gotcha

Several weeks ago, I replaced my pump suction line with heater hose (as
was suggested by one or more listers). I used some nice Gates hose from
a local parts place and it looked, good, but now I realize that the hose
is sweating fluid! The hose glistens on the part between the end
fittings. Where the hose is pushed over the fittings, it is dry. If I
wipe the hose off, then take the car out for a little while, It will be
damp when I'm done.
I'm going to go find some low pressure hydraulic hose now....
